Install Metaphor
Download Metaphor for your Mac and connect your first project.
Before you begin
You’ll need:
- A Mac with Apple Silicon.
- A GitHub account.
- Claude Code or Codex installed on your machine.
Install the app
Download Metaphor
Get the app from the download page.
Open the app
Open the downloaded file. Move Metaphor to Applications if prompted, then launch it.
Sign in
Follow the prompt to sign in with GitHub and create your Metaphor account.
Connect your project
Choose which repositories Metaphor can access. You can start with one and add more later.
Connect GitHub
Start the GitHub connection from Metaphor. You’ll be taken to GitHub to approve access.
Choose your repositories
Select the repositories you want to work on and approve the installation.
Return to Metaphor
Your connected repositories will be available when you create a task.
